Christmas is a time of jolly and going to visit family and friends.

If there is a new baby on board, we all know it’s not going to be as easy as hopping in a car with some presents! So here we have what you need to take with you while you are on travelling this Christmas with your little one.

Baby Blankets: It’s cold this time of year and you want to keep your baby warm in between getting out of the car, and going into the house, so wrap them up in a big blanket so they stay warm.

Food: Whether your baby is onto solids, or still on milk you need to make sure you have packed enough food for during the festivities. You never know how long you’re going to be at someone’s house, so always take more than enough food just in case.

Entertainment: Your child will probably be receiving lots of presents on their first Christmas, but you should take along one or two of their favorite toys just incase they aren't interested in their new toys. Some children can be hard to please.

Change of clothes: This is something most parents take anyway, but it’s always good to have a change of everything, you just never know, if you think it’s going to be a long day, maybe even take a second set.

Wipes: Take A LOT of wipes, not only ones for diaper changing, but take them for wiping down toys that may get covered in food. Also wipes are handy in case someone else needs one.

Batteries: Kids toys often need batteries and don't come with them, so take a packet in case one of their toys comes without batteries, you don't want an upset baby if they can’t play.

Favorite DVD/CD: If there is something that soothes your baby or that you know will keep them entertained, whether it’s a CD/DVD/App make sure to take it with you.

After making sure your baby is all prepared, you may want to also pack a few items for yourself:

If you breastfeed your baby, but you want to have a few holiday drinks take along some milk so that you’re able to celebrate.

Change of clothes, if you have dressed up all nice for Christmas day you can almost guarantee something is going to happen!

A snack, as a parent you need to make sure that you are eating regularly, so take a snack for you as well as the baby and that way you know you'll have something to eat even if where you are doesn't have any food.

That’s everything you will need to pack with you this Christmas while going to visit everyone with your little ones. Also don’t forget to take presents along with you!

Happy Christmas!
