We all know it’s coming up - Mardi Gras and Shrove Tuesday or as some of us prefer to call it - Pancake Day - the day of food.

Mardi Gras is usually celebrated with pastries and cookies, but Shrove Tuesday is celebrated with pancakes. Here we are giving you a foolproof fruity pancake recipe to enjoy!

You need:
100g Plain Flour
2 Large Eggs
300ml Milk
Oil for frying
Fruit of your choice
Topping of your choice (Syrup, Lemon, Sugar)

Put the flours eggs and milk into a bowl. Then whisk them until they are smooth.

Add in some fruit of your choice (blueberries are great)!

Get a frying pan, and put it on medium heat. Place some oil in the pan, and spread it out.

Pour batter into the pan, and cook for 1 minute on each side.

Serve your pancakes with the topping of your choice, and maybe some left over fruit.

Enjoy!

Now that you have finished up eating your pancakes there is no doubt going to be quite a bit of mess. And if kids helped with the batter then you are probably going to have twice as much mess. So you need to clean up and grab some wipes and get to it.

Use an anti-bacterial wipe to clean down your benches.

Use a wipe to get any grease out of the pan – it makes it so much easier and quicker when washing up.

Wash all your dishes.

Put all the spare food products away.

Hope you enjoy your pancakes!
