Painting your nails can feel like a chore sometimes, and some people are better at painting nails than others. Introducing the revolutionary spray on nail polish!

We all know the dread of painting your nails; the time it takes, the smudges and only for it to chip a few days later and you have to re-paint them again. You generally need at least 30 – 40 minutes set aside to prep your nails from start to finish, and a further 20-30 minutes for your nails to properly dry. It takes a lot of time, but if you want good smudge-free nails, time is essential.

Luckily you can now get spray on nail polish – the best invention ever, which is great for on the go and for those days when you don’t have enough time to go through the whole process of prepping your nails.

What you’ll need:
- Clear base coat
- Spray on nail polish
- Hand wipes
- Water
- Clear topcoat
- Nail varnish remover wipes

Here is how to do it:

Step One: Start by prepping your nails. Remove any old nail polish you already had on your nails. File and buff your nails as necessary then apply a clear base coat. Allow your base coat to fully dry.

Step Two: It’s spray time. Shake your spray can before using it – this will make sure the color is even when sprayed. Spray each of your nails using left to right motions from a distance of around 15cm away.  We’d recommend doing this over a sink or over old newspaper to make sure that the excess color doesn’t leave any further stains in places you don’t want to mark.

Step Three: Once the nail polish color has fully dried, it is time to seal your work of art. Start applying a clear topcoat and then wait for each nail to dry. It should only take 40-60 seconds or so for the clear polish to dry.

Step Four: You will now need to remove the excess nail paint from your hands. Run your hands under warm water, gently rubbing off the color on your hands, avoid your nails to stop them smudging. Around the the cuticle area use hand wipes to remove the rest of the color. And voila! You have a perfect manicured set of nails in less than 15 minutes.

Top Tip! If you accidentally get nail polish in places you don’t want, you can easily use small nail polish remover wipes to remove that unwanted excess without ruining the rest of your manicure.

If you’re ever in a hurry, or out and about, this nail polish is a great alternative and also when you’re traveling places – quick and simple to use. If you’ve tried spray on nail polish before, how did you find it? Do you find them a lot easier to use than regular nail polish?

Hmmm, not sure this would be for me. The finished nail kind of looks a little dull. Then again, it might be my screen, but I like a polish that is a little shinier.
