We have no doubt that you will know someone who loves chocolate spread whether this is on a pancake, with bread, eaten straight from the tub or used as the sinful ingredient in a delicious dessert. Although we try so hard to be healthy and avoid too much sugary treats, sometimes you truly can’t resist the tastiness of chocolate spread.
If you still want to try and stay healthy but can’t resist a chocolate spread treat, spreading them on chunks of banana is somewhat a healthy treat that satisfies your sweet cravings without feeling too guilty. Simply slice up the banana, cover it in chocolate spread, you can even sprinkle some chopped nuts on top, then put them in the freezer for an hour or so to get a real nice crunch from it.
However, if you really can’t resist indulging in delicious chocolate spread, you might want to try out some of these recipes that we will share with you. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed in making some of these delicious sweet treats.
Before you start getting messy with chocolate spread, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before prepping and gathering all your ingredients. Chocolate spread can also get extremely messy and sticky, so be sure to have some antibacterial surface wipes to wipe down any surfaces that accidentally get covered in chocolate.
These three ingredient chocolate spread brownies actually make our mouths water just thinking about them. Here is everything you will need:
Nonstick cooking spray, for spraying the pan
2 1/2 cups/ 300g chocolate-hazelnut spread
1 heaping cup/ 130g all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
Start off by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Then spray a 9 by 13 inch pan with the nonstick cooking spray.
Stir together the chocolate-hazelnut spread, flour and eggs in a medium bowl. Pour into the prepared pan and spread the mixture to the edges.
Bake until the surface looks set and slightly crisp, about 25 minutes. Let cool slightly, then cut into squares and enjoy!
For those of you who don’t know what a S’more is, it is a melted marshmallow and chocolate sandwich out of sweet crackers. You’ll need:
1 cup/ 150g of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp milk
½ cup/60g chocolate hazelnut spread
30 large marshmallows
Graham crackers/Tea Biscuits for dipping
Start by melting the chocolate chips, 15 marshmallows, chocolate spread and milk together in a pot on low heat. Mix until smooth.
Take the other 15 marshmallows and cut them in half, then pour chocolate mixture into an oven-proof pan.
Top the mixture with large marshmallows, cut side down.
Place under a broiler until the marshmallows are golden, then serve with crackers or biscuits and enjoy!
Budino is Italian for ‘pudding’ so this one is chocolate spread pudding! Yum. You’re going to need these things:
800ml thickened cream
500g jar of Chocolate Spread
1 tablespoon hot water
2 1/2 teaspoons gelatine powder
Whipped cream, to serve
Cocoa powder, to dust
Roasted hazelnuts, to serve
Stir cream and Nutella in a saucepan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until smooth.
Place the hot water in a small heatproof bowl and sprinkle with the gelatine. Place the bowl in a small saucepan and add enough boiling water to the pan to come halfway up the side of the bowl. Use a fork to whisk the gelatine mixture until the gelatine dissolves.
Stir the gelatine mixture into the Nutella mixture. Pour the mixture evenly among six 185ml (3/4-cup) capacity serving glasses. Place in the fridge for 6 hours or until set.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder. Serve with roasted hazelnuts.
